How do I measure my new roller shades?

Measuring for Roller Shades is very easy – there are only two options to measure:

Wall mount (outside mount) and ceiling mount (inside mount).

Wall mount installation is above the window/ door and outside the window / door trim or casing. This installation is suitable for any situation and any style of window and door.

Ceiling mount is in the window/ door trim or to the actual ceiling of the home.

All our roller shades come with our aluminum design bar as a standard.

Why is this important? Because other brands use side brackets for the installation of your roller shades, which makes the actual roller shade up to 1 ½ inches smaller. Our design bar has an easy clip installation on top of the roller shades and does not need this deduction. Custom fit for any roller shade is guaranteed.

Standard roll and reverse roll is possible at no extra charge.

Narrow Depth Inside Mount Installation

Many homeowners prefer an inside mount installation to their historic windows or their window casing – but most of the time the depth is only about ½ inch. For this challenge, we developed a narrow depth installation plate so you can still install our bottom up top down blinds.

Please measure for your new blinds precisely – the better your measurements the better is the custom fit. For all inside mount installation, we deduct only 1/4 inch in width.

Installation Instructions (Glossary)

All the definitions you need for installing your blinds

Safe-Rise (standard)

The Safe-Riseoperating system makes raising and lowering your roller shades easy and safe. Just push up or pull down on the aluminum bar to raise and lower your shades. They stay right where you put them.No cord and no string attached – child safety is our #1 priority.

eAccu motor (upgrade)

Our eAccu is a rechargeable motorized solution that does not require any hard wiring. The accu motor is integrated in the roller tube and makes the installation the same as a non-motorized shade – clip and snap. The motor charge can last for many months and when it is time to recharge, just plug in the supplied cable over night and you are good to go again. The system is remote controlled and can be operated via Alexa, smart phone and tablets (wifi-bridge required). No cord and no string attached – child safety is our #1 priority.

Drill Free Installation

Drill free installation is only available for tilt and turn window and doors. A metal bracket clips to the actual window sash to hold the blinds. Note, that the measurement is different – measure the width between the glass stops but then the total height of the window sash (!) (print measuring instruction here).
If you have true divided grids, please print the measuring instructions here.

Permanent Inside Mount Installation

The blind is recess or flush to your window trim or casing (minimum of 7/8 inch in depth required). Please measure the actual width and height of the opening. (print measuring instruction here).

Narrow depth inside mount installation

The available depth of installation is only ½ inch to ¾ inch. Please measure the actual width and height of the opening. We will supply the narrow depth installation plates with your order. Please note, that there will be a small gap on the bottom and top of the blinds of 1/8 inch. (print measuring instructions here).
